learn from the past - prepare for the future

The Novamir Channel

Someone who combines the practice of science, medicine, mysticism and magic is often called a ‘fringe practitioner”. Throughout history, these individuals have also been called mages or magi:  a skilled or learned person, perhaps a magician or alchemist.

By and large, in this section we describe people who often were working on the fringe of society, outside of the norms of commonly accepted practice.  These were risk-takers: curious and intelligent and often outrageous scientists who also included in their studies the Hermitic principals and practices related to mythology, religions and spirituality.

Many of these people developed a framework of theory, terminology, experimental process and basic scientific techniques still recognizable today.

“That which is impenetrable to us really exists.

Behind the secrets of nature remains something subtle, intangible, and inexplicable.

Veneration for this force beyond anything that we can comprehend is my religion.”

– Albert Einstein
